Say what you will

You said it first, and i said it last, if the wrist bleeds dry then so be it

splatter on the leaves and I sense renewal in reach

draining corruption before I wake, so my future has a home again

you wonder where is home again

you drift across that sea again

Seagulls wave, and the ocean bounces as they make way

You smile as the sun smiles back, and you are so grateful to be you

home starts to feel closer, but the world starts to feel bigger

a heart is greeted with a key but it rejects the solid printout

Too much solidity makes it too real

So you carry on looking for patterns that never worked out

Looking for familiar expressions from spirits that provide lesser lessons

You creep and creep and creep trying to outpace your shadow

I’d tell you your mistake in it all, but its not my place to teach life to the damned

Infecting your nerves, oxygen fleeting, arms flailing

falling into a pit of who you were, running the hamster wheel crafted by your own comforts

You will never know you’re playing a losing game

justification finds comfort for the fearful, and things have been fearful for far too long.

“The win isn’t in how far the pebble goes.

The win is in having the guts to throw it in the first place” – Renni
